Backstory
Hails from the forests of Perrenía.
Not at all stolen from the wiki page of Alfred Russell Wallace
I was the 8th of 9 children. Left school at a young age to follow in my family’s masonry and construction business, becoming an apprentice surveyor to my eldest brother. While in the city, I attended lectures and read books at a university in the Gnomish Free City of Aurora. I worked as a mason but was always interested in the lectures I’d been able to attend. Collected and befriended bugs, becoming an amateur botanist.
When my father passed, the family business suffered and so I used my sketching skills to gain employment at a local school teaching drawing, map-making and surveying. Spent hours in the library reading the latest from naturalists, botanists, and entomologists, including reading the works of Darwin equivalent.
At the library, I befriended druid and entomologist Henry Bates equivalent, who had published journals on beetles. We collected insects together.
In my local explorations, I learnt more about the habits and behaviour of the local wildlife, with particular fascination with bugs, beetles, arachnids and other insects. I intervened and derailed a large construction project in order to protect the nesting site of Allin Yosrug Isoli Thistleback Breemyra Fenniana Bellybadge, the giant centipede. We bonded and I knew I could do great good understanding and sharing the secrets of the bug world, making them more understood. I have started writing many papers and a thesis to detail all of the buggy gossip to try and get areas of the Perrenía forest designated SSSI (Sites of Special Scientific Interest).
Having saved enough and been sharing constant letters with Henry Bates equivalent I decided to travel abroad, especially inspired by Darwin equivalent. I joined the Larksong Archive as an opportunity to travel, and hope to publish with the money I earn through adventuring with the guild.
