- Yarhekk pleads with us suddenly to help rescue his family.

- Pirates have an island, mining something on the island, shiny substance, possibly glass. Controlling villagers, protection racket. Cows with seven head, houses disappearing.
- Pirates suddenly appear, golden stuff, pay us.
- 5 ships, 40 men on flagship
- Anyone we could turn, Garrachs Quartermaster, and extremely creepy wizard
- Doorbell goes, Lirael goes to answer the door.
- Tansy and Lirael are divorced.
- Lirael goes oh. What brings you here.
- Tansy is an intern, job assignment department. Messenger imp is broken
- Apparantly youre about to meet some pirates. If you can work out what it is they’re getting up to on the island. The Larksong archive will pay 500gp each.
- Addendum, if you can stop them getting at it, it’s doubled.

- Lirael researching in the library pirates and omens.
- Omens are something called the “Fey Plague” or the “Dream Plague”
- Dreams coming to life? All end badly.
- Things falling into feywild or leaking into real world
- Pirates too new to appear in the library.
- The island Ha-Ayuun, translates to Green Spirit, chronicles from long time ago. Big mountain in the middle of it. Ihbahited by savage beasts, uncivilised. Colonialism vibes.
- Says that a “great evil is buried there”
- Local inhibaitants who rode great beasts, not to distrub the “Protector”, great beast.
- On the 5th day, Aurora is spotted. 2 water docks on both sides of the city, jettys and rafts make tidemarkets. Tall towers that project out like cliffs into the city. Airship docks come of from this. Biggest airship docks in the fading lands. Between the two is so many buildings. Smelly city.
