  • Airship being piloted by humanoid parrot called Yarhekk
    • Stole the airship and on the run from Garrach’s fleet
    • Enslaved Yarhekk’s people
    • Potentially knows how to use crystal to pilot Pinion

Session Notes

  • Mid rainmeet - (november vibes)
  • Lirael, Ruth, Gwinzel are at the balissta (grappling hook)
  • Bookmark in the tower further away
  • Lirael attacks manticore, manticore gets closer and roar
    • Fires tail strike back, Lirael takes a bit of damange
  • Ruth
    • too small to be anything but a scout ship
    • back part of the ship is where the controls, manticore trying to get in here
    • Cloudspark - natural mineral that gets generated by storms, fuel,
    • Queues up fring the balissta when in range
  • Gwinzel
    • Summon beast - Air spirit
      • Summons a seagull on the ship, Private Bryan
      • Bryan looks through a window.. sees a large parrot doing something with a spinny thing, door wont hold much longer
  • Bookmark
    • telescope, fishing rod, steaks
    • Marks centipede ii
    • Casts magical fishing rod (which never misses the mark) into the other ship ruby attached to end
  • Environment turn
    • Moves closer
    • Ruth fires the grappling hook into the ship
  • Lirael
    • Tries to sprint across the chain, fails, in the air, grabbing into the chain, pulls it down far enough for ship to bank in that direct, manages to get onto the ship
  • Manticore I
    • Shoot it’s tail spikes into Ruth and Gwin
      • 1 Ruth - hits 4 damage
      • 2 Ruth - no hit
      • 3 Gwinzel - no hit
  • Manticore II
    • Tries to claw at Lirael, unstable,
  • Ruth
    • Hits the control crystal, which goes dark
    • Whole ship tilts sideways
    • Lirael tries climbing the manticore, manages to get on it’s back, it stinks, hopefully the manticore doesn’t notice Lirael
  • Gwinzel
    • Withering bloom - con saving throw 2 createus in 20ft
      • Both saves - 3hp each
  • Bryan
    • Breaks window and gets inside, and yells parrot
    • Flies back out and screms, “He’s fine but can you not destroy my ship”
    • “Did you know about the manticores and colliding into my island”
  • Bookmark
    • Tries to lift the island up using the crystal, surrounding by a ring, brass pads every 8th pad, place hand 2 pads and commune with the cystral, not sure what type of communing work best, more like getting the crystal
    • Rolls intelligence.. stand on the head, and sing “Sugar we’re going down” by fall out boy.
    • all feel the island suddenly rising
  • Environment
    • Island rises about 60ft into the air
    • Ship stays attached i rope
  • Lirael
    • Tries to shoot the other manticore (I) from the back of the manticore (II)
    • Hide in manticore, throws up a little
  • Manticores
    • I - Gets level with the island
    • II - It tries to shake itself. Lirael gets a Nat 20. Clearly doesn’t get noticed by the manticore. Goes for the ship.
  • Ruth
    • Casts hail of thorns
      • Hits first manticore - 13 damage
      • Climbs down from balissta
  • Gwizel
    • Ice Knifes the manticore first maticore
    • Kills it.
  • Bryan
    • Isn’t able to help the parrot
  • Bookmark
    • Makes his way to the balistta
  • Environment
    • See some slack in the chain, potentially the ship as stabalised
    • ALso island stops going upwards
  • Lirael
    • Essense of ether poison
    • Attempts to chuck the vile over the head to break it on the floor and dive out of the way
    • D20
    • Leaps off and grab onto wrigging, and swing around the manticore, throw the vial directly into the mouth
    • Fails the saving throw. Falls asleep.
  • Manticore
    • Manticore collides with the side of the ship.
    • End of combat
    • Everyone comes onto the ship
    • Rattling at door, open its.
    • Humanoid Parrot and Bryan come out of the door
    • “Thank you, all of you, you’ve saved my life, my name is Yarhekk”
    • “I’ve been flying non-stop for 4 days i think?”
    • “Fuel ended, and then i was listing for a while, and then the manticores came.”
    • Yarhekk seems to be telling the truth.
    • “Why have you been flying?”
    • “I am running away from the people who enslaved.”
    • “No one else on the ship”
    • “Fled Garrach’s fleet.”
    • Push the manticore of the side.
    • Yarhekk is preoccupied with the ship, tries to fix the shop.
    • “A certain issue happened with Garrachs fleet and my village, i’m trying to rescue my family.”
    • Ruth searches maps, shows Perrenia. A similar crystal to the one in our ship. Deduces that Yarhekk is possibly able to use the crystal to navigate Pinion
    • Lirael tries to picks Yarhekks pockets. Manages to pick the pocket. A couple of silver coins, don’t recognise them. A piece of something orange amber coloured. A big seed, shiny and black.
